Bio

I’m a video production professional with over 9 years of experience shooting, editing, producing, and leading creative teams in production and post on a variety of projects including corporate videos, promos, commercials, documentaries, films, and everything in between. I have a diverse post-production portfolio that covers a wide variety of editing related disciplines including motion graphics, animation, chroma keying, color correction, compositing, matchmoving, rotoscoping, video encoding ,and disc authoring as well as 3d modeling, dynamics, lighting and rendering.

I've been operating my freelance business, VFXJAKE, on local and remote basis for over 9 years now on a variety of design, production, and post-production projects ranging from graphic and web design to broadcast graphics and promotional videos. I've spent the past 4 years as an Adjunct Instructor at East Tennessee State University where I teach courses in Digital Media, Media & Communication and Radio/TV/Film on topics such as cinematography, pre-production design, production best practices, compositing, editing, color correction and grading, motion graphics, and visual effects among others.

My Editing Toolbox

I have experience editing and teaching with Final Cut, Premiere, and Avid Media Composer. Moreover, I also possess extensive experience with After Effects, Mocha, Audition, Cinema 4D, Maya, PfTrack, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
