About Jake

I'm Jake - a designer, production, and post artist. I've been doing the freelance thing on the local and virtual level for over three years on projects ranging from graphic and web design to interviews and promotional videos. I've spent the past year as a videographer, editor, and post artist in the Digital Media Services department of East Tennessee State's Office of eLearning where I've worked on a range of projects including recording live events, producing promotional videos for university departments and third-party clients, sound editing, graphic design, and video encoding as well as managing archived projects. In my spare time, I've created short films, animation projects, and 3D renderings as well as my first independent feature - Choices the Film.

Skills

My production skills consist of screenwriting, directing, cinematography, lighting, and fx makeup. My post-production skills include editing, compositing, motion graphics, visual effects, video encoding, and DVD design. My design skills range from modeling, texturing, and rendering in 3D to print and web design.
